Y 0 Junction of Highways 3 and 4.
Y 2.9 (4.7 km) Side road leads north 5 km/3 miles to Vee Lake.
Y 4.7 (7.5 km) Yellowknife River bridge.
Y 4.8 (7.7 km) Yellowknife River picnic area with boat launch, 6 picnic sites, firewood, firepits and toilets. Good fishing for northern pike and arctic grayling.
Y 12.2 (19.7 km) Prosperous Lake boat launch to north with toilets; fishing.
Y 14.9 (24 km) Madeline Lake picnic area to north with boat launch, picnic sites, firewood, firepits, toilets and fishing.
Y 16.4 (26.4 km) Pontoon Lake picnic area to south with firewood, firepits, toilets and boat launch. Fishing for northern pike, whitefish, cisco and suckers.
Y 17.4 (28 km) Side road leads north 1.6 km/1 mile to Prelude Lake Territorial Campground; 67 non-powered campsites $22.50 CAD/night, 12 tent sites $15 CAD/night, 20 picnic sites, firewood, water, showers, sani-dump station, toilets, marina, boat launch, boat rentals, swimming. Prelude Wildlife hiking trail. Fishing for lake trout, arctic grayling, whitefish, cisco, burbot, suckers and northern pike. Two trails: an easy 0.5 km hike, much along boardwalk, and the other a longer loop with informative signage and natural landscape underfoot.
Y 27.3 (44 km) Powder Point Territorial Park on Prelude Lake to north. Boat launch for canoeists doing the route into Hidden Lake Territorial Park, Lower Cameron River, or 4-day trip to Yellowknife River bridge.
Y 28.4 (45.8 km) Hidden Lake Picnic Area and Cameron River Falls trailhead to north; parking and toilets. A favorite of locals, the 1-km/0.6-mile trail leads to cliffs overlooking Cameron River Falls. Pedestrian bridge over river; the base of the falls are great for fishing, picnicking, and swimming.

Y 33.5 (53.9 km) Bridge across Cameron River; parking area, toilets, picnicking, canoeing, hiking and swimming.
Y 34.4 (55.3 km) Informal campsites on sand esker overlooking Cameron River next 0.3 km eastbound.
Y 36.7 (59 km) Reid Lake Territorial Campground with 65 non-powered campsites, $22.50 CAD/night, 11 tent sites $15 CAD/night, 10 picnic sites, wheelchair accessible, firewood for sale, kitchen shelter, showers, swimming, hiking trail, playground, boat launch and fishing. Canoe launch for Upper Cameron River and Jennejohn Lake routes. CAUTION: Watch for bears.
Y 36.7 (59.1 km) Pavement ends, gravel begins, eastbound.
Y 42.8 (68.9 km) Tibbitt Lake. End of road. Launch point for Pensive Lakes canoe route (advanced).
