Visit the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters gift shop and museum at Milepost J 2.1 Knik-Goose Bay Road, off the Parks Highway.
The center has historical displays and films on sled dog racing and mushers, as well as a souvenir shop with Iditarod memorabilia. Dog team cart rides in summer. Sled dog puppies are sometimes on view. Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily in mid-May to mid- September, weekdays 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. the rest of the year.
