Pedro Dredge No. 4 is located at Chicken Gold Camp and Outpost on Airport Road in Chicken, Alaska. This dredge operated on Chicken Creek between 1959 and 1967, after mining Pedro Creek outside Fairbanks from 1938 until 1959. Mike Busby and Bernie Karl (of Chena Hot Springs Resort) purchased the dredge and moved it and other mining equipment down to Chicken in 1998 as a tourist attraction. It was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. For more information on the dredge and/or tours, turn visit Chicken Gold Camp (www.chickengold.com). Chicken is on the Taylor Highway, which is part of the Klondike Loop.
