during the summer, the excellent "Northern Inua"
show featuring northern athletic games, dance and creation

The University of Alaska Museum features displays
from every state region, with highlights including a 36,000-year-old
Steppe bison, Native art, a gold display, a presentation on
the Northern Lights and a nature trail. Wildlife displays
are extensive and excellent.
In Fairbanks you'll also find the 44-acre Pioneer Park, a
world-class riverboat cruise on the Chena and Tanana rivers,
views of the Alaska pipeline, tours of Eielson Air Force Base,
a historic gold dredge and a working gold mine, both open
for tours, and the Creamers' Field waterfowl refuge,
You can arrange any number of other trips and tours: flightseeing,
fishing, canoeing, boating, visits to bush destinations and
Native villages, and visits to hot springs. Or, you can fly
to the Arctic Circle, to see what life in an Athabascan Village
is like.
